This article presents the extant evidence concerning Jason of Nysa and Jason of Argos and discusses the relationship between them and other homonymous writers. The article argues that there were at least three Jasons. Jason of Argos, an early Hellenistic writer, probably connected to Ptolemaic Alexandria, was the author of the Βίος Ἑλλάδος. He may have also penned works entitled Περὶ τῶν Ἀλεξάνδρου ἱερῶν and Περὶ Κνιδίας. Jason of Nysa, a first-century BC Stoic philosopher, wrote the Βίοι ἐνδόξων, Φιλοσόφων διαδοχαί, and Περὶ Ῥόδου. Finally, a grammarian called Jason lived after Plutarch, probably in the second century AD.
